Notebook Covers

I'm used to write a lot of notes about what I need to buy, what I want to make, what movies I'd like to see etc. And that means I still have hundreds and hundreds small pieces of paper with something written. So I bought two notebooks and decided not to write my notes anywhere else. And of course I need new covers for them...

The first notebook with spiral binding on the top is made according to tutorial from Niesz Vintage Home and Fabric.

Material needed:
3 pieces of fabric 11" x 8"
2 pieces of fabric 5.5" x 5.5" for pockets
a piece of fabric 8" x 1.5" for holding the notebook
fusible interfacing 11" x 8"
1 button
small piece of elastic band for closing

The second one with spiral binding on left side is made by tutorial  from Australian Craftblog

Material needed:
2 pieces of fabric 11" x 7"
a piece of fabric 5" x 3.5"
fusible interfacing 11" x 7"
1 button
small piece of elastic band for closing

And here they are:

Very simple and I think they look just great.

That's What I Needed

My mom bought me a pair of fantastic pink gloves. I just love them. They are soft, really warm and the color is simply beautiful. But I didn't have either a suitable hat or yarn of similar color for making the hat. Fortunately I bought some couple of days ago and could start to knit.

Yoke Finished

Another weekend spent at my parents'. I made a little progress in knitting of my Brompton cardigan. I really like this pattern, there are no seams, all is worked at the same time. And now, when the yoke is complete, it begins to look as a cardigan. I'm looking forward to completing, but it will probably take some more time. I just hope, I'll make it before spring comes...
